Obama Speech Highlights: Never call an intervention “war,” particularly when that's exactly what it is; [cont.]

use of American military is always subject to approval by the UN; the UN always trumps the will of Congress; the only thing worse than starting a war is actually winning; surrender is the only “exit strategy” I will ever need- that's why France has the Con; the U.S. military being “number one” is no longer appropriate; American forces must never take the lead when only the best will do; gloating over military victory is in very poor taste - best to apologize & promise to make diplomacy work next time; Congressional pre-approval is only a requirement when the President is a Republican; killing civilians is justifiable only when engaged in humanitarian intervention to prevent the killing civilians.
